Working Principle:
The AS-9715-001 drive receives a command signal (analog voltage, pulse train, or digital command via communication bus) from the controller. The internal DSP processor executes the servo control algorithm — comparing the command with the actual feedback from the encoder/resolver — and generates PWM signals to drive the IGBT power stage. The resulting three-phase AC output is applied to the servo motor, producing controlled torque and motion. The drive continuously adjusts output in real time (servo loop cycle: 125 µs to 1 ms) to maintain precise tracking of the command signal.

Advantages & Highlights:

  • High Dynamic Response: 100 Hz speed bandwidth for fast motion control
  • Multi-Protocol Communication: Modbus RTU and CANopen for flexible integration
  • Compact Footprint: High power density in small chassis
  • Autotuning Capability: Reduces commissioning time significantly
  • Robust Protection: Overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, encoder loss

Applicable Industries:

  • CNC machine tools
  • Packaging machinery
  • Printing and converting equipment
  • Textile machinery
  • Robotics and pick-and-place systems
  • Semiconductor manufacturing equipment

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount vertically with adequate clearance above and below (minimum 100 mm)
  • Use shielded cable for encoder feedback (maximum 50 m recommended)
  • Install external braking resistor for high-inertia load applications
  • Ground the drive chassis to protective earth (PE)
  • Separate power cables from signal cables by minimum 100 mm

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not operate without proper motor connection
  • Verify encoder type matches drive configuration before power-on
  • Do not exceed rated current for more than 3 seconds
  • Ensure adequate ventilation — do not block cooling fan intake/exhaust
  • Perform initial autotuning with motor unloaded
