Weight180 g (2-pole); 320 g (4-pole)

Key Features:

  • Type A detects residual currents from inverter-fed loads (VFDs, UPS, EV chargers)
  • Test button (T) verifies trip function monthly — presses test resistor into circuit
  • Must be installed upstream of MCBs for personnel protection
  • Immune to nuisance tripping from normal leakage up to IΔn/2

Applicable Industries: Residential buildings, commercial facilities, hospitals, data centers, EV charging stations

Installation Requirements:

  • Install at origin of installation (main switchboard) or sub-distribution board
  • Connect line (L) to top terminals, load to bottom terminals — do not reverse
  • Neutral (N) must pass through RCD — do not bypass
  • Tighten terminals to 2.5 Nm

Usage Notes:

  • Press TEST button monthly — if breaker does not trip, replace immediately
  • RCD protects persons only — does NOT protect against overcurrent or short circuit
  • Must be used in combination with MCB (e.g., AEG 6728 series)
  • After trip, identify and eliminate fault before resetting
