Resistance Values:
- At 25°C: 10 kΩ (±1% tolerance typical)
- At 100°C: Approximately 180 Ω
- B-Constant (B25/85): 3950 K (typical for AEG dryers)
Function: Monitors drum and/or air temperature and feeds data to the control board (PC-Z984-785) to regulate heating element output and prevent overheating
Location: Mounted on the heating element housing or air duct inside the dryer cabinet
Material Composition: Ceramic semiconductor bead encapsulated in epoxy or glass, with PTFE-insulated leads
Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +150°C
Failure Symptoms:
- Error code related to overheating or underheating
- Dryer shuts down mid-cycle
- Extended drying times due to incorrect temperature readings
Testing Method: Measure resistance with a multimeter at room temperature; value must be within 9.5 kΩ to 10.5 kΩ at 25°C
